Over the past years, we have successfully conveyed our message using a vibrant social media campaign, a website where relevant research and infographics are curated, video, infographics, and seven courses credentialed for continuing education credit by IDCEC, AIA, GCBI, BOMA, WELL, LA CES, and SHRM.
These courses contain important research-based information about the biophilic design ethic’s contributions to human health, safety, and welfare. The inclusion of biophilic design elements into building standards (the WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, the Living Building Challenge, LEED) indicates that there is a great need for biophilic design information.
There is also a greater need for online learning. COVID-19 driven changes in the workplace make the conversion of these courses more urgent. With mandates for social distancing and more team members working from home, online on-demand education is strongly preferred. The evidence-based information that access to nature helps reduce stress and increases productivity by 12%, is intensely interesting to team members who are experiencing more stress since the pandemic.
The goal of the Reconnecting Design with Nature project is to create a version of GPGB’s PowerPoint courses that are delivered in-person to video courses that are available online, on-demand.
We are asking for your support. We are seeking funds to hire Cantilever Instruction + Design to develop SCORM-compliant video versions of our courses. We engaged Cantilever to produce a proof-of-concept video and are confident they are a strong partner for this project.
Please donation now and help us share this message of people + plants = wellbeing and productivity!
