Quantification of Carbon Assimilation of Plants

We propose a two-pronged research protocol aimed at addressing the questions posed

above: first, a methodical assessment of photosynthetic rates of interiorscape plants in situ, and second, a quantification of carbon assimilation under simulated environment designed to replicate the light levels and temperatures of typical indoor environments.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

In Situ Environment. This phase of the research will be conducted in collaboration with Foliage Design Systems (Orlando, Fl). Three interiorscape accounts in the Metro Atlanta Area representing typical installations will serve as sampling sites.
