Hello like-minded Nature Advocates,

What a busy month it has been.

We’ve been preparing for Building a Biophilic Brand for Your Company, featuring Kenneth Freeman, for presentation in the Interior Plantscape Series at Cultivate ’20, hosted by AmericanHort. This wonderful industry gathering is wisely being conducted virtually this year with a combination of live and on-demand offerings.

This switch to a virtual format facilitated Kenneth’s participation, as he makes his home in the UK. We’re excited that he can share his experiences in the biophilic design field. For over 13 years he served as Head of Innovation at Ambius and before that he led Ambius’s global sustainability program. With a focus on evidence-based design, he’s started a new company offering workplace wellness and productivity consulting. This rich background provides the content for his session. He’s also the Vice-Chair of Plants at Work – this is the UK’s interiorscape trade association.

Kenneth’s seminar streams Sunday, July 12 at 1:30. Register here.

And thanks to our hosts at AmericanHort!

On June 4, we participated in the Biophilic Design Symposium hosted by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. The audience of designers, architects, and other building professionals heard that they have a tool in their biophilic designer’s toolbox they may be underutilizing – the interiorscaper.

I shared resources like the Providers Map, the LivingPlant™ video, the research library, Gensler’s US Work From Home 2020 Survey results, as well as examples for using plants as solutions for implementing physical distancing.

GPGB’s Registered Trainers are happy to hear that we’ve refreshed the Living Walls Case Studies course with updated photos and new case studies.  We’ll be contacting those Registered Trainers authorized to present this course before the end of the month. Our thanks to Chad Osborn and Robin Connell for their contributions!

It is humbling how, amid the COVID-19 impacts on their businesses, our supporters continue to thoughtfully support GPGB’s mission of creating and sharing messages about the value of indoor nature.

We deeply appreciate their support and if the spirit moves you, please join them in supporting GPGB’s mission.
