ASLA’s 2023 Conference on Landscape Architecture affords attendees an unprecedented opportunity for continued professional growth—an opportunity to garner new insights and tools that will help them scale up their practice and business. Conference attendees—ASLA members, exhibitors, and allied professionals—will come to Minneapolis with the kind of confidence that emanates from professionals who are elevating their craft through leadership in design, and from a professional association grounded in a vibrant strategic plan. During the last three years, despite a global pandemic, ASLA members have demonstrated a genuine resiliency in managing the environment. This drive for growth is very much reflected in the educational strategy of the 2023 Conference, specifically in seven educational tracks:

  • Biodiversity
  • Changing the Culture in Practice
  • Climate Action
  • Design and the Creative Process
  • Design Implementation
  • Leadership, Career Development, & Business
  • Planning, Urban Design, and Infrastructure

Members are well-poised to descend on Minneapolis with a renewed sense of purpose to address the impact of artificial intelligence on landscape architecture, to harness the power of strategic partnerships with entities such as the Minnesota Department of Transportation and take on the challenge of reducing the carbon footprint of site construction. ASLA’s members are ready to scale up their design work with new imperatives such as sharpening their management skills so their firms can mitigate today’s economic challenges, innovating ways to build inclusive parks and other public spaces and revitalizing the Mississippi riverfront in Minneapolis through synergies between public and private development. In short, ASLA’s members are prepared and positioned to scale up their strategic initiatives with design work informed by science and inspired by innovative thinking.
