Your Investment at Work

Earlier this month, October 10 was World Mental Health Day, an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against the associated social stigma.

At GPGB, we’re working on mental health education every day.

One of our central messages is the beneficial role biophilia and biophilic design have in maintaining mental health. And this message needs to be shared because according to the World Health Organization, mental health disorders are expected to be one of the top two global disease burdens by next year, 2020.

GPGB supporters are helping GPGB increase awareness of the mental health benefits of biophilic design and the role access to nature has in maintaining mental health.  Their support helps us keep the information available and broadly shared on five social media channels, in continuing education courses for building professionals and by sharing articles on GPGB.org. And by doing this we’re also working together to reduce the stigma attached to poor mental health.

If you think this educational work is important and the spirit moves you, please join our efforts and become a supporter.

With gratitude,

Mary Golden
