This tree-filled atrium with interior garden plantings at 10 Fan Pier was designed in collaboration with Elkus Manfredi Architect and won the Platinum Award in the 2022 International Plantscaping Awards’ Atrium/Garden Planting Interior category. Home to live black olive trees spanning 12-24 feet high and raised garden beds with ground foliage and preserved moss, this welcoming lobby space is characterized as “The Forest in the City,” a nod to MassMutual’s roots in its headquarters city of Springfield, known as “The City in the Forest.”
