Get Involved

Join, Get Involved, Become an Interior Plant “Activist” and Local Resource!

Make presentations at local meetings. Effective “face time” with your local leaders in the building and facility management profession is the most effective way to share the Plants at Work message and “grow the pie.” It is advised, whenever possible to become an associate or affiliate member of these target market organizations and become an important resource for the membership. You can do so by attending local and regional meetings and participating in committee work whenever possible.

Want to get involved but not sure where to begin? Here’s an easy three-step guide!

  1. Review organization’s links and determine the local or regional chapters that best match your ability to participate. Some things to find out include: When do they meet? What are the dues to join? Where are they located?
  2. Call or go to a meeting if you are still unsure. Then, JOIN! Research and sign up for the outlets and platforms most appropriate for you to share your knowledge and important resources.
  3. Personalize your Plants at Work CD, select a set of reprints to hand out, and make a presentation! If you need help with the basics e-mail us at: info@plantsatwork.org
