In 2009 a group of individuals from associations and educational institutions across North America came together to lower communication barriers, promote collaboration, and enhance the services we provide the interiorscape industry.
Leading the charge with the rallying cry of "Plants in Every Room!", Green Plants for Green Buildings' was chosen as the vehicle of the group's collaboration.
IIC's MISSION
To increase interiorscape industry awareness, raise industry professionalism, and promote the inclusion of plants in the interior environment through the collaborative efforts of the participating not-for-profit organziations and educational institutions.
WHAT IIC DOES
One recent product of our collaboration is this brief video featuring interiorscape professionals speaking from their hearts about why they love their profession and encouraging students to think about a career in interiorscaping. This is the Coalition's response to recent news articles listing horticulture as a poor career choice (after journalism - we kid you not!)
